Pallas Digion - World renowned Eventing Stallion bred in West Cork

Sire: Ceredigion. Dam: I’m a Lady 2. Sire of Dam: Flagmount Boy by King of Diamond.

Pallas Digion (1989) was bred by John McCarthy, Drinagh, was sold to Willie McDonnell, Nenagh and won the Irish Grade E Show Jumping Championship as a 4 year old in Ireland. In late 1995 Pallas Digion was sold to the U.S.A. and now stands at Acorn Hill Farm, Madison, Virginia. Though primarily purchased as a breeding stallion, he was put into training in 1996. He was shown lightly in schooling jumper classes at West Palm Beach in early 1997 by Debbie Stephens, a former member of the United States Equestrian Team. He advanced to the International Speed Classes under Debbie, consistently placing in the ribbons at shows in West Palm Beach, Upperville and Kentucky.

Pallas Digion has sired several advanced eventers including: Spring Along who was on the Bronze Medal winning team for Great Britain in the 2008 Olympics. Acorn Hill Farm’s Bailey Wick ridden by Philip Dutton and Boyd Martin. Kristen Bond’s Three Wishes who has been sold to Oliver Townend of Great Britain.

Spring Along foaled in 1993 by Pallas Digion out of a Master Buck mare, bred by Willie McDonnell has been eventing in England, firstly with Lucinda Green and more recently with Daisy Berkeley (Dick) competing very successfully both at National and Olympic level, most recently winning the British Open Title at Gatcomb in 2010 aged 17yrs. He is ranked No 1 of the British Eventing All time Individual horses.

Offspring: Pallas Digion’s first offspring in America arrived in 1997. He has been bred to Thoroughbred mares and has produced some top eventers in America, Bailey Wick, Three Wishes now in England with Oliver Townend having won 3* Events in 2009 & 2010 and Irish Cheer to name but a few.

The only known full sister of Pallas Digion is "Digions Princess" (now 16 yrs) who has many progeny now eventing in England & on the Continent and is owned by Rosemarie Deasy.

Digions Princess currently has a foal by the Stallion Carlo Bank, Baxters Bank (ISH) who is for sale in our "Horses For Sale" section.
